Random Aftermath[]

Apparently if you do his little quest later on you can find a Giddyup Buttercup and a note from Arlan in a random encounter.

Not sure where on the page to put it, but when you bring him the holotape of his wife and daughter, he'll give you a Giddyup Buttercup Toy (It's smaller and listed as Misc instead of Junk) and leave The Slog after a few days.--Limpachn (talk) 01:10, November 26, 2015 (UTC)

Bug confirmation[]

Under bugs it is listed that "If the interaction with him is stopped, it may mean he will no longer speaks with the Sole Survivor." During the first time I engaged him in conversation, the conversation was interrupted. Afterwards he will now no longer speak with me, and only say "hmm..." whenever I interact with him. It sais the bug has verification needed behind it. Not really familiar with the workings of a wikia, does this mean I can remove that little note? Nundinae (talk) 06:48, December 5, 2015 (UTC)

Marlene's Holotape Bug[]

I completed Search the Atomatoys Factory for Toy Parts quest, and now when I speak to him there are no dialogue choices, he just says a random line about how it'll take a while or it's coming along, etc. This means that there is no longer the option to give him Marlene's Holotape. --Jazstar (talk) 22:56, December 16, 2015 (UTC)

The tape isn't found at the Atomatoy factory but at Atomatoy HQ. 106.69.49.237 15:20, December 23, 2016 (UTC)

Voice Actor[]

Who is the voice actor for Arlen Glass? Is it just me or did he sound like Ten Penny?

ยป Not sure if you've found out for yourself through other means: Charlie Warren provided the voice for Alister Tenpenny, who you'd sooner recognize as the voice of Mayor McDonough in Fallout 4. Meanwhile, Paul Eiding voiced Arlen Glass, who also voiced Irving Cheng and Herbert Dashwood at Tenpenny Towers (as well as several other characters) in Fallout 3. --Lemonsplat (talk) 20:51, February 8, 2016 (UTC)

Seeing Glass After His Departure[]

According to [video], Arlen Glass can be sighted at the crater that serves as his family's grave.

Make peace[]

After you do his quest by giving him the toy parts and Marlene's holotape, Arlen will disappear from the slog. If you approach Wiseman, Wiseman can tell you that Arlen has left looking for more toy parts, and finally make peace. Wiseman says he doesn't know what you have done, but thanks you anyway. 60.49.101.2 17:21, February 28, 2017 (UTC)

Dead Randomly?[]

Is this guy supposed to be randomly dead? I teleported to The Slog after a while (high defense and turrets around the place) and he was just lying there, dead inside his workshop next to a full giddyup buttercup.

Arlen isn't counted as a settler, just as a normal NPC. So he can be killed easily during settlement attacks. Great Mara (talk) 00:02, October 26, 2018 (UTC)
