I had that same thing happen to me. The Enclave forces down on the ground are able to fire and hit you though some of the broken windows.--Moltenfungus 20:21, 25 June 2009 (UTC)

That was a Vertibird. When you enter the tower several vertibirds fly past the broken windows and one of them fires a missile into the tower. You can take them out with the Tesla Cannon beforehand, though. Rootmars 01:56, February 22, 2010 (UTC)

Bad glitch, started as follower dumbassery[]

I walked through one of those zappy things that hurt you when you walk through, and Fawkes, being the dumbass he is, stopped walking in the middle of the hurt zone. He started taking damage as expected, but it got weird when Dogmeat started taking damage even though he was through the field. Normally I wouldn't bring this up, but when I walked back through the field, I started taking continuous damage, even though I was completely through it, which caused me to die.
