M2 Browning[]

I can't find any screens or clips of this, where is the M2 Browning name coming from. Actual source or weapon spec? Great Mara (talk) 20:49, June 17, 2018 (UTC)

Yeah no one knows what the name of the gun is going to be and doubt the actual name of it will be the M2 Browning but it is at 0:31 on this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QuJAwDTYDTY. It is being held by the heavy at the far left. I have no doubt that this is meant to be the non-fictional M2 Browning. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 75.187.239.201 (talkcontribs). Take into account the M2 Browning also appeared (directly) in Fallout Tactics. I added the reference into the behind the scene section as well, though the mods (or editors) may decide to purge it anyway since it be considered a "baseless claim" despite them being (essentially, not technically) identical. In the game files, it's listed as M2.

Even better, the LMG was originally called the MG43, which is what that one looks like. Can we take the dev's naming as a clear indicator here? Bodhisattvah (talk) 03:47, November 9, 2018 (UTC)

Naming of Weapon[]

Minor thing, but I noticed recently that Bethesda must have recently renamed the .50 MG to include the "." point before "50 cal", making it now called ".50 cal machine gun". I don't know if this applies for Xbox and PlayStation players but it's something I noticed while playing (on PC). Here are two screenshots (Edit: They no longer exist because my point's been proved) of my observation. As you can see, these two examples are not in my inventory, but in an NPC's and vendor's list to prove that they weren't player renamed by me. Is there a way to confirm through data mining previous patches that the gun name was updated, and to perhaps rename the item page for consistency? FlammableGas (talk) 13:03, 8 August 2022 (UTC)
