Shotgun shells are a type of ammunition in Fallout 4.

Characteristics[]

The Buckslayer brand shotgun shell is common in the Commonwealth, as they are carried by all enemies that use any shotgun weapon. These 12 gauge shells are marked as being 2 3/4" shells using 0 buckshot.

Locations[]

  • Three boxes of 30 shells can be found on one of the metal shelves in the evidence room of the Coast Guard pier.
  • A box of five shells can be found floating near the ceiling in the tipped capsule at the scrap palace. With the door being inaccessible, the box must be obtained through alternative means, such as an explosion placing it within reach.
  • Three individual shells can be found on a table on the second floor of the dilapidated house just south of Fort Hagen.
  • Three individual shells can be found on a tray on the counter in the stowage depot of the Prydwen.
  • One shell can be found in a shopping basket on the inside of a detached smelting pot on the first floor of Saugus Ironworks.
  • One shell can be found on the table behind the bar at The Third Rail in Goodneighbor.
  • Dropped by enemies that use double-barrel shotguns or combat shotguns.
  • Sold by various vendors throughout the Commonwealth.

Notes[]

  • The shotgun shell is one of two ballistic ammo types in Fallout 4 to not be made by Circle G, the other being 5mm rounds.
