Shelley was an Appalachian Brotherhood of Steel recruit.
Background[]
Shelley's relative Brant often treated her like she was unimportant and didn't matter. When she joined the Brotherhood and started training at Camp Venture, he belittled her, saying that she "wouldn't cut it" and would "quit within a week." Instead, she persevered and wrote him a letter, rebuking him for his previous treatment of her and stating that she wouldn't be returning to him, having found a new family with the Brotherhood.[1]
