At one point, Wiemer and Charlie Walker were assigned as patrol guards for the west side of Harpers Ferry.[1]
Wiemer was also friends with Jacob Lerner; Lerner wanted to give Wiemer his baseball and mitt in case he died while in the Valley Galleria.[2]
