If BethSoft did release an editor for the console, I guarantee there'd be complaints abound about how difficult it is to use with a controller. The GECK, like the Oblivion and Morrowind CSes before it, are very PC interface-dependent. A mouse and keyboard are a veritable necessity. Also, many game editors require even more hardware capacity than the game themselves, and the GECK can certainly eat it up. Furthermore, to adapt it to the consoles would take a LOT more dev time than to release it for a setup for which it was designed to work on to begin with. Lastly, because it'd take significant dev time, they would want to recoup that in the form of a fee for acquiring it... to which you would probably also complain about. This isn't some simple little build-a-level thing, this is the thing they used to make the game with (albiet with a few bits that they absolutely don't want us to futz with removed).--MadCat221 05:57, 2 January 2009 (UTC)
