The archaeologist exam at the Pioneer Scout camp has a question that directly references the mountains. It asks "Brendan went to a museum exhibit in Europe and saw a very famous rock. He says it was used to decipher ancient Egyptian hieroglyphics! What rock is he referring to?" The Pillars of Hercules are provided as an incorrect answer to the question.[1]
