Periodic Table of Elements is a world object in the Fallout 4 add-on Far Harbor and Fallout 76.

Characteristics[]

The periodic table displays the 113 known elements and can be found posted across the wastelands.

Far Harbor[]

• Inside the Children of Atom shrine. Interacting with it is necessary to complete Visions in the Fog.

Fallout 76[]

• On the wall in Biv's room at The Nukashine.
• Inside the Overseer's home in Sutton, on the second floor.
• At Foundation, inside of Ward's trailer.
• Pylon V-13, on the table immediately under Professor Greebley's press release.

Notes[]

During the quest Visions in the Fog, the Sole Survivor must solve a puzzle at the Children of Atom shrine on The Island to gain access to the area of the shack containing one of the Mother icons. Per the hermit's note, "withAtomDECIPHERname". The player must correlate the numbers 99-90-68 to the periodic table and input their atomic symbols as the password. While the functional solution to the puzzle is "MoThEr", following the instructions on the nearby periodic table yields a different result: "EsThEr".

Behind the scenes[]

• This object was created by world artist Robert Wisnewski.
• The words "Todd Howard is amazing in everything his hands touch - no kidding" appears to be written in the lower two lines of the text in the top middle of the poster, though the word "is" does not appear as clearly as the surrounding text and may not be the correct word.
• The periodic table of elements is missing real world elements flerovium (₁₁₄Fl), moscovium (₁₁₅Mc), livermorium (₁₁₆Lv), tennessine (₁₁₇Ts), and oganesson (₁₁₈Og).
• The elements darmstadtium (₁₁₀Ds), roentgenium (₁₁₁Rg), and copernicium (₁₁₂Cn) use the systematic placeholder names designated prior to their confirmed discovery, as dictated by the International Union of Pure and Applied Chemistry in 1979.^[1] The placeholder names are ununnilium, unununium, and ununbium, respectively.
• Element 113 slightly deviates from this standard, instead using the placeholder atomic symbol for element 114 (Uuq). The table has a gap in group IIIA where the real-world element 113 (nihonium/ununtrium, ₁₁₃Nh/Uut) would be present, making element 114 actually be listed as element 113 on the in-game table. The table's element 113 also uses the same name as element 112 (ununbium).
