The song was recorded for the De Luxe record label at J&M Studio in New Orleans on October 1947. Roy Brown's vocals were accompanied by the Earl Barnes Orchestra with Wallace Davenport (trumpet), Clement Tervalone (trombone), Earl Barnes (tenor saxophone), Walter Daniels (piano), Bill Jones (guitar), and Percy Gabriel (bass). The drummer is unknown.[1]
