Doctor Simon Lee[1](Note) was the ship's engineer onboard the United States Space Administration's Deep Sleep mission.

Background[]

Dr. Lee was the ship's engineer onboard Commander Sofia Daguerre's spaceship, described as being a robotics expert.[2] He was betrayed by the program's directorate, along with Dr. Bernard and Dr. Nowak, and forced to participate in the Project-Z experiment.[3] All three doctors died when the spaceship crash-landed in Appalachia in 2103, though Commander Daguerre survived due to her pod being located in the main escape capsule. The doctors' dog tags can be found in the ship's wreckage in Welch during Hope Remains.

Notes[]

^ (Note) Sofia Daguerre has a single ambient dialogue line in the Cranberry Bog where she mentions a dead person named Simon who would've loved the region. While the dialogue does not specify who Simon was, the script notes explain that he was a crew member. Assuming that Dr. Bernard's first name is Carol (based on the board members calling him "Dr. Carol" in Deep Sleep program: Phase II) and Dr. Nowak is female (based on the voice actor Michaela Dietz being female), this would leave Dr. Lee as the only possible option for Simon.

Appearances[]

Doctor Simon Lee is mentioned only in Fallout 76, introduced in the Wastelanders update.

Sofia Daguerre: "Sure... maybe that will help with the pain. Dr. Bernard was our engineer, worked exclusively on the Sleeping Pods. Very by-the-books type guy. Specialist Nowak had been on a few missions before this one. Always seemed distracted. But, well, it was a stressful mission. Dr. Lee was our ship's engineer and a robotics expert. We all went out to celebrate the night before lift off. It feels like it was only yester... day. I guess it doesn't matter if it feels like it was only yesterday. It was a long time ago, and... they're gone."
