I'm K.D. Inkwell, the one and only! I have some time to kill before I can return to my home... eh, sector.

K.D. Inkwell is the title character and protagonist of the Astoundingly Awesome Tales series The Atomic Chronicles of K.D. Inkwell. She is featured in The Scribe of Avalon and Escape from the 42nd Century board games.

Background[]

A fictional character created by Astoundingly Awesome Tales, K.D. Inkwell is an adventurous historian and senior time operative at the Guild of Antiquities. Using a guild-marked Chronotron, Inkwell time travels to different eras on guild missions.[2][3]

Inkwell wields an intricate torch-sized fountain pen called an Atomic Quill and holsters it on her forearm.[3] Her outfit consists of a sleeveless, double-breasted dark teal or black vest, a white undershirt, dark tan khakis, and brown lace-up boots. She wears a back-mounted Chronotron and has a Guild of Antiquities pin attached to the collar of her vest. She has a tear stain under her right eye.

In The Scribe of Avalon, Inkwell is sent to the 5th century by the guild to locate Cynnoc, the Scribe of Avalon. Cynnoc would supposedly help Inkwell with cataloging advanced technology. The guild suggested finding Alistair, a Knight of Avalon, to assist in locating the scribe.[3] In Escape from the 42nd Century, Inkwell is thrown into the 42nd century after an equipment malfunction. She must escape assimilation by the malicious dolphin-human MIND collective and return to her original time.[4][Non-game 1]

Appearances[]

K.D. Inkwell is mentioned only in Fallout 76. She appears in The Scribe of Avalon and Escape from the 42nd Century board games, which served as the playable areas for the third and fifth seasons, as part of the Steel Dawn and Steel Reign update, respectively.

  • Ástor Alexander created much of the season's artwork.[5]
  • An internal pitch voice-over for K.D. Inkwell was performed by Arkane Studios developer Sadie Boyd as part of the design process for Escape from the 42nd Century.[Non-game 2]

That being said, it was my first time being told my voice was ‘too sultry’ 😂"
