Background[]
Juliana was interviewed by the Charleston Herald in holotape form, concerning the issues facing Welch. The constant earthquakes, patrolling of lawless thugs, and high drug use were the main problems Juliana outlined in her interview. However, she stayed in town because she cared about the place, otherwise, she would have taken a bus to Watoga, despite hating the city. She believed that "bullheaded determination" could put Welch back on the right path, more than money.[1]
