Jay grew up with lead designer and writer at Bethesda Game Studios, Emil Pagliarulo. Emil jokes that the last time he saw Jay in person was when they got into a fight. However, Emil knew that Jay had started an acting career later on in life and liked what he had performed in. He reached out to Jay and asked if he wanted to be in Fallout 4, to which he agreed.[1]
