J. Richard Thorndike, or J.T, was the city attorney for Boston before the Great War.
Background[]
In 2077, following a disaster during an Independence Day fishing tournament held at Lake Quannapowitt which had seriously injured 27 people and left at least one person dead, the survivors and families of victims at the event filed a lawsuit against the city of Boston. Thorndike, who viewed the suit as "baseless and without merit," attempted to cover up evidence relating to the city's liability in the suit, though this had not been done by the time of the Great War.[1]
