Hiroto "Knife" Watanabe was a prisoner at Eastern Regional Penitentiary, sentenced to life imprisonment for premeditated murder and "inhumane jaywalking."[1] All prisoners in his cell block were involved with organized crime, union organization or communism in some fashion.[2]
