Heather MacArthur is an American violinist who performed the songs heard on Agatha's Station in Fallout 3, as well as the pieces on Radio Freedom in Fallout 4, which were also used in the Fallout TV series.
Work on the Fallout series[]
Heather MacArthur's name is given in the Fallout 3 credits for "Violin Performance." She performed the instrumental violin pieces played by Agatha on her radio station in the game.
MacArthur also performed instrumental violin and fiddle pieces for Radio Freedom, the radio station of the Commonwealth Minutemen, in Fallout 4. Unlike Fallout 3, MacArthur was not credited on Fallout 4, and for a time it was not known who performed the songs heard on Radio Freedom.
Music from Radio Freedom, as performed by MacArthur, was used in the Fallout TV series episode "The Radio," in which it is broadcast by DJ Carl at the KPSS radio station. The Prime Video X-Ray credits the music heard in the episode as "Minutemen Radio" by Heather MacArthur. This also retroactively revealed for the first time that MacArthur performed the music on Radio Freedom.
