Totems of Warding are world objects in Fallout 76, introduced in the Night of the Moth update.

Characteristics[]

These totems were constructed in Point Pleasant by the Followers of the Winged One to ward off the Wise Mothman as an act of hostility towards the Enlightened. They must be destroyed by players during the events of The Mothman Equinox. Observer Marlon points the totems out to the players after the vine barricades binding his pyre are broken.

The totems seem to be fashioned from car axles. The upper half of a human has been hung by the wrists, and their head has been replaced with some sort of horned animal skull. A small wooden sign above the head reads "ABANDON HOPE."

Small translucent red moths seem to flutter around them, much like creatures under the influence of a Cultist high priest. The same flitting visions emanate from the Cradle of the Pretenders and the lesser blood troughs.

Notes[]

They are present in Point Pleasant year-round, but can only be damaged during The Mothman Equinox event. Their health bars will still display if attacked by the player.
