Deputy D.B. Walton was a sheriff's deputy in Appalachia.

Deputy Walton was one of several deputies who arrested hotdog vendor Colton Pickins for making an indecent scene after the latter was found naked and yelling on the roof of his shack. After Pickins regained his senses, Walton gave him an interview. Pickins claimed that he was abducted by the Flatwoods monster that was responsible for his behavior. Walton very skeptically disbelieved Pickins' story as the vendor possessed a high blood alcohol content, and he charged Pickins for drunk and disorderly conduct and indecent exposure.[1]
