Cyrus was the spiritual leader and founder of the Palace of the Winding Path.
Background[]
Cyrus founded the Palace of the Winding Path as a place of self-enlightenment, spirituality and willpower. However, the actions of the spiritual movement were more akin to a cult, allowing people to spend a lifetime "freeing their mind" there while paying for rooms to live in. A former disciple of Cyrus, Simon Gladwell, saw an opportunity to make money off of the palace, and created successful programs that drove their profits up. Cyrus was largely unaware of Simon's true motives, and allowed him to run the palace's businesses while he went off to frolick naked with other disciples as part of their "enlightenment."[1][2]
After the Great War, the palace continued to operate and interacted with the Diehards. However, the cultists' fate is unknown, as the residents of the palace all disappeared one night without a trace.[3]
