The container of chlorine is a quest item in Fallout: New Vegas.
Location[]
Only three containers of chlorine exist in the game. One can be purchased (or pickpocketed) from Ralph at Mick & Ralph's in Freeside, one is found in a storage room behind Mortimer's desk in the Ultra-Luxe, and the third is available from Blake at the Crimson Caravan Company.
Uses[]
The only use of chlorine is during the quest How Little We Know if siding with Nero and Big Sal. Big Sal asks to see if or how the Courier can help Clanden. By passing a Science check, he informs the player character that the Ultra-Luxe uses chlorine in their pools and that they can either find it there or try to find their supplier. The chlorine is needed to carry out an attack on the Strip for Caesar when he attacks the Hoover Dam, in an attempt to divert New California Republic's forces.[1]
