Judging by the mention of a college fund for someone named Steven, Connie likely lived before the Great War. Connie's spouse went to a casino in Atlantic City and was on a winning streak, but started losing, eventually betting Steven's college fund and soon their house, losing it all. Connie was in an unhappy marriage with their spouse, who wanted to take Connie to Hawaii to repair their relationship. Connie's spouse was too afraid to face Connie after losing everything, and a note addressed to Connie can be found next to a skeleton in a pub in Atlantic City's flooded city center.[1]
