Chauncey is a cut character in Fallout: New Vegas.[1]
Background[]
Chauncey was intended to be a super mutant that had joined the New California Republic Rangers and would have been stationed at Ranger Station Foxtrot primarily because of its proximity to Jacobstown (much like ghoul rangers are stationed at Ranger Station Echo because of its proximity to Camp Searchlight). He was going to wear a normal-sized Ranger hat which would appear comically small on him, along with an appropriately sized Ranger uniform for his mutant body.[1]

Behind the scenes[]
When asked about Chauncey, game director Joshua Sawyer was unaware of his removal and commented that he wondered why Chauncey along with the ghoul dancer Angel at Gomorrah were cut.[2]
