Buster was threatened by crime boss Eddie Winter after writing an article about the ties of Boston organized crime to the monorail construction project.[1]
He also covered the Roxbury food riot that took place in the week leading up to the Great War, an altercation between the 184th Infantry Regiment of the United States Armed Forces and Boston civilians that left four civilians dead and eight injured.[2]
