You sir, may be the world’s only FO:BoS fan.
Incorrect. Headcanon is not canon, don’t confuse people unnecessarily.
No love for the superheated saturnite fist? That’s my go-to unarmed.
The only canon bits are what’s referenced later, so they can be skipped if that’s your worry. But some pieces from them may be introduced later, so it could be worth a peep. It was unclear if the airships were canon until details on the Prydwen mentioned it being based on a midwestern BOS design.
No. If they say “the midwestern brotherhood exists and has airships,” it is now canon that they exist and have airships. The full events of the game are not.
Critical build with single shot rifles. High luck, agility, Perception, focus on gear pieces that boost crit chance. You can get some weapons to 100% crit rate, and the AMR becomes a gamechanger for high level dlcs with this. Courier’s mile is no problem.
Homie, this thread is three years old. That said, they’ve made some specific pieces of tactics canon, and haven’t for BoS. The one that was near universally hated.
I really hate FO4’s looks. Stupid neon paint slathered on everything, stupid bulbous pipes and lumps of metal. FO3 was too grey, no doubt, but WOW did they overcorrect with this blinding shit. I liked the style of buildings more in 3, if they can combine that with a more balanced color palette with less ugly shapes thrown on everything (looking at you sentry bot), they’d really be cooking. Goes without saying, more art deco statues as well.
Any run where I kill the brotherhood, I make sure to hit up the police station later just for him.
A statement made is a statement made, particularly on something that generated this much fan confusion and curiosity, you backtrack on it, consequences to the validity and fan investment in your world are just as bad as overruling content in the games or show.
General consensus seems to be that a House ending is likely, but things go wrong (ergo the lights being off in that shot and the end credits showing a crashed vert and disabled securitrons in the streets). I don’t think there’s a way around the Shady Sands thing ultimately, they’ve already exploited writing excuses to say that wasn’t even the NCR’s capital anymore, they can’t then also say “that was actually shady sands 2, and neither was the capital.”
Spoilers, obviously.
I liked it a lot, but the depiction of the brotherhood was INSANELY bad, from the erasure of paladins and scribes to add “clerics,” incense and branding rituals, the “my lord” shenanigans, the utter lack of energy weapons or, ya know, actual squads used, ever, and the toleration of beatings and hazings in the group absolutely obsessed with brotherhood and kinship.
I also really hate the idea of VT starting the war when we’ve had suggestions it was China in response to the Gobi campaign since forever. Killing peace talks? Absolutely. Starting it? No, shush. And why the hell was a vault able to cause a massive nuclear detonation? For that matter, why is Shady Sands inside the Boneyard when its entire story is being built on new ground with sandcrete and farming on territory with nothing there before? And the whole “the NCR moved its capital off screen” thing they’ve come up with in interviews is real goofy, and feels like trying to have their cake and eat it too in terms of “destroying” the NCR and being able to just bring it back intact later.
The depiction of ghouls as able to shrug off bullets and the “vials” was also a little annoying when that’s absolutely never been a thing and some ghouls have been isolated from trade networks for centuries totally unable to get this stuff without going feral, but is easier to overlook because it was executed well and can just be ignored in the games.
So yeah, lot to like and I was very happy overall, but they made some BIG mistakes they need to clean up, and certainly not repeat when they’re going to New Vegas.
Marcy is so torturous I had to install a mod to make her shut up, anyone fine with her avoids sanctuary as a main base. Rhys is also irredeemably terrible but easier to avoid.
You have to unlock two levels of local leader to ACTUALLY USE THE FUCKING SETTLEMENT SYSTEM. This means you need pretty high charisma, every build, every run to even play the damn game fully. Then arbitrary shit like “you can run at people in power armor to do a little damage even though it’s a terrible way to kill enemies” they think needs three levels. It reeks of them running out of ideas and slapping on garbage to fill in the chart they made.
It uninstalled all cc content and mods on console, seems to have broken a lot of mods outright on pc.
Honestly it seems most likely to me that it was just an accident with object ID, plopping the FO3 variant down in one spot instead of the NV one.
That sounds like a system issue, I don’t know what to tell you.
I think the physical one uses a code rather than a disc. So if you got it used, you got ripped off.
Lead actress doesn’t seem very fun to follow and I don’t like that the ghoul is just “remember hancock? We did that again.” But I’m cautiously optimistic. Always ready for disaster though. Definitely an interesting choice that this show is whole ass canon to the games.
If I’m being serious, probably mine too. Her sense of humor and family struggle plotline really hit home with me. Very underrated character they made even better with DM.
