I've been using Quicken since 1993

I've been using Quicken since 1993, switching to the annual subscription plan years later. My acct is current (auto renew) and tonight my register opens up that it has expired. It has transactions downloaded as late as 7/18/2024 but shows date from last November 2023. I cannot NOT trust Quicken and continue to use it.

No extra features ... just the simple program!

I've been using Quicken for ~30 years! I wish you still had a simple version that was NOT an annual subscription. I don't want to download my transactions, link to my financial institutions, or access my info on any other device than my desktop! I don't want to pay for your technology & upgrades for features I never intend to use! All I want is to be able to continue manually entering my transactions into my account registers, to easily reconcile from my statements, to search (payees, amounts, dates), and print reports for taxes and recordkeeping.

There are several issues

There are several issues, especially after updates. Also, memorized bills dates change, balances keep getting messed up, on the Account List the "Last Download" date doesn't show up anymore.
In general it is taking more manual effort. I am an experienced user having used Quicken for many years. I'm about ready to switch to another product.

I struggle to access current saved data…

I struggle to access current saved data with Quicken Classic on my iPad. On a pc, it may re-download the same transactions multiple times and not recognize them. I don’t like so much about Quicken as it as changed over the years but struggle to find a substitute.

I have been using Quicken for over 20…

I have been using Quicken for over 20 years. It is so helpful to track my spending and helps me budget. I can also search for purchases I made years back and it helps me know when I purchased different items over the years.
I like to be able to download banking and credit card transactions.
I am able to download my investment transactions also and this is so helpful to keep them up to date.
There are many different reports I use for different financial reasons.
I would be lost without it now.

Too many bugs

Too many bugs, slow load times on small files, automatic matching that doesn't work with scheduled bills by ignoring them and so on.

I just want the old quicken back when it worked, provided useful information and did what it was supposed to do.

Good experince since 1997

My 1st entry to Quicken was May of 1997. Have used it regularly ever since. Very pleased with it's accuracy, dependability and features. I don't like the download and subscription method adopeded by Quicken. Would much rather buy DVD and install when newer versions become available. Current method is like 1984 "Big Brother" looking over your shoulder!

Quick Pay is Limited

I use quicken for most financial transactions. But have not been able to use quick pay for Bank of America and Citibank transactions. This severely limits my ability to track spending and categorize it to develop my budget.

I love using Quicken bill manager

I love using Quicken bill manager. However, I rated it a 4 instead of a 5 due to the lack off being able to set up automatic paments for a year at a time when these payments remain constant.

Great for home and small office

I’ve Been using Quicken for decades in both my home and small office. I can easily take care of payroll items, tax items, bill pay, etc. Previous bugs have been worked out and everything works beautifully

I just want to pay bills conveniently.

I can't set up a repeating payment to happen automatically. That is pathetic.
I can't pay two on-line bills with Quicken. I go on-line and pay them and then enter them in Quicken. I don't care at all about your planning tools, tracking a portfolio, or any of the 100 other things you do, I just want to pay and record bills conveniently.

I love the app

I love the app. My kids use it, but would not touch Quicken. The only issue I have is tracking payments for housing (mortgage) while also tracking the loan balance (mortgage). Same thing with tracking costs associated with car costs and the loan balance.

Really the only electronic check…

Really the only electronic check register out there. Still have interoperability problems with my bank that makes downloads cumbersome. Quicken, spend more on interoperability than how I can track investments or whatever. I have a financial planner to do that. I need one stop for categorizing all spend in the household. This is difficult currently.

Please fix the software

Please fix the software! Transactions are downloaded to incorrect accounts. It still doesn't handle backing up the file without crashing or failing. For what you are charging annually for this software, I expect better. On the plus side, it is full-featured and very easy to use. I really do like the software. I just wish you would eliminate these issues.

I've used Quicken since approximately…1996

I've used Quicken since approximately 1996 when I worked at the Intuit call center in New Mexico. Since then I've use a couple of other financial software products and have never found one more user friendly or as powerful as Quicken. I'll never try anything else again.

It’s ridiculous that I have to pay…

It’s ridiculous that I have to pay $71.88 every year to use Quicken program. When it used to be a one time buy. Once again corporate greed, which is destroying America. I’ve been using Quicken since 1993. I did not appreciate you automatically charging my credit card for that outrageous amount of $71.88. Very disgusted user

Two decade customer

I have been using Quicken and for going on 20 years now. It's a great program and it's a great way to keep track of my finances and it keeps me from overdrawing my checking account. I would have given it five stars except for one reason: price. Years ago, I could buy a Quicken CD and use the program for 3 years for around 50 to 60 bucks. Now I had to pay $76 for only one year. I want to keep using it because I like Quicken but I think the price is getting too high..

Easy-to-Use Banking & Record-Keeping Software

Quicken is a great way for me to keep track of our banking and savings accounts. We don't use it for investments since we have a broker to do that, but we like having the option. The Quicken software helps so much when it's tax time; I can easily locate and print records of charitable donations and medical or other expenses.

Easy to use but pricey…

All works smoothly and easy to keep track of finances. Ridiculous that price keeps increasing when I used to own the software but to upgrade now need annual subscription and cloud based. If internet goes out, which it does in my area, I no longer have access to my data and have to rely on memory as to balances in accounts when paying bills.
