Very reliable and trustworthy company to deal with. The service is excellent, tour guys are all professional and excellent service and provided what is customer needed. I would choose the peony tour again for my next trip and recommend to friends and family member。

1. Tour departure based on minimum 10 people and that makes the commitment very difficult. That is a major drawback compare to many other travel agencies.
2. Some trips (Silk Road, Tibet etc. ) are not meant for handicapped people. Your agency should enforce the health requirements on the website digentently
3. Some hotels in China are not suitable for US travelers. Some High speed train tickets should allow travelers to upgrade (from our own pockets) rather than booking a cattle class. Same as China domestic flights.
4. Overall your Tour Managers are performing a good jobs. Some local guides need to improve their English skills.

With regards to minimum departure numbers; we understand the frustration if a tour cannot be materialised. However we are no different to other tour operator specialising in guided tours. In order for a tour to be practicable, we require a minimum number of customers in each departure group. This number is determined by factors such as modes of transportation airfares and hotel availability. We hope this explanation helps.
Clients with a disability or those who are less physically able are advised by us of any aspect of the tour where they may require additional assistance or may be physically challenging. We certainly do not believe any single destination should be deemed unsuitable and will always do our upmost to accommodate clients with disabilities.
We are sorry to hear that some of the hotels in China did not meet your expectations. We take a lot of care to only use hotels that offer the highest levels of service and amenities. We are delighted to hear that you were pleased with the service that our tour guides provided. We will work closely with our ground operator to ensure that the local guides speak English proficiently.

Our local guide Amenda was very courteous and thorough. In the two days tour, she tried her best to take care of us. Coming to hotel earlier, getting us to the car and places safely etc. Especially the last day we had to leave hotel before 6 am, she asked the kitchen to prepare breakfast boxes for us to take it to the airport. One thing I would like to mention is that in Ming 13 tomb, there should be enough restroom but it doesn't. For older tourists, this is a must. Tourist bureau should consider building more restrooms when developing the local attractions.

Hotels and transportations are very good with Peony. Food was very good and regional Chinese food were featured. Sightseeing was very good and well planned. Very few shopping side trips and no pressure in buying. Rooms and dinning were upgraded in Yangtze River cruise.
The guides are very polite and knowledgeable. I signed on with the Mandarin speaking tours but was assured that English will be supplemented by the guides. We found that the local guides spoke very adequate English but we have to remind them to narrate in English frequently.
The only practice that I dislike was the collection of tips in the beginning. It was like collection for operating cost up front.

My Husband and I took the Huangshan and Yangtze River tour in Oct, 2017. Tour was well planned and tour guide took great care of us. Although it was a mandarin tour, on our tour group's request, the tour was conducted mostly in English. Our tour guide and the local guides spoke perfect English.
The only complaint is that the connecting flight from Beijing to Shanghai was too rush. There were a few people from our group that missed the connecting flight.

My wife and I are very happy and satisfied with the arrangement and details from booking, through the whole trip till we get on the flight back home. There was an unexpected cancellation of an evening flight by the airline in the middle of the trip but the tour guide handled it exceptionally well, getting all 25 people of our group on a bus to a superb hotel before midnight and continued on early next morning. He spoke excellent English and gave great presentation on the history and sceneries. The whole trip was very enjoyable. We tipped him extra; he deserved it!

Hotels and tour guides’ skills and knowledge were good. All meals except complimentary breakfasts from hotels and one dinner buffet were awful. For the lunches and most dinners provided, I rate one star less for this eleven-day China tour.

We need to know which airline we are taking and if we have seats together for couples. I will not take Delta and seperate seats arrangement if I know earlier. I can book my own flights with better airplane and seats. It was not a good arrangement from your company.
