So surprised at all the bad reviews

So surprised at all the bad reviews. I've been using eBay for 20 years and have only had good experiences. I am usually the buyer, but occasionally the seller. Any time something has been no good, eBay took care of it for me. I do note, that you really got to read the sellers entire listing, they can be sneaky in trying to hide info about the products that you might not like

Manchester is not a province of china

Full of Chinese vendors purporting to be uk sellers. Sick of reporting item location being complete BS in ads after waiting 2 weeks for something supposedly 5 miles away and turning up with international postage and customs. Ebay doesn’t care because its all they have now for income. Cheaper to sell in fb marketplace for most uk sellers so why pay ebays exorbitant fees? They got complacent about customer satisfaction while they were a monopoly.

Most incompetent customer service I've…

Most incompetent customer service I've ever experienced. Seller sent package to wrong address, it gets returned to them. I put in a claim - I receive a TEN PERCENT refund and the seller relists the items having made 35$ basically for free. To add insult to injury, the refund went to my cancelled credit card and my case is "not eligible for appeal." My only option left is to send them an email but oh look, the page just so happens to be down and will probably stay down until the comment period is closed in 3 days. If Ebay's headquarters was around the corner I'd be kicking in the door. Unreal.

Won’t ever buy again

Won’t ever buy again. Can’t get ahold of seller and EBay just give run around with no results. Seller sent me same email of item I received days ago. Called USPS and they said tracking number was to another address with my purchase information. Keep checking my bank account to make sure I’m not charged twice. Nobody cares about good service anymore!

What an absolutely terrible customer…

What an absolutely terrible customer service.
Sent me round in circles to links that do not work or apply.
Does not allow me to actually contact somebody and resolve this issue.
Thus far Ebay has locked me out of my account under suspicion it might have been hacked.
I attempt to reset my password but it keeps providing an option for sending a verification code to an old number.
I have previously updated my contact and billing info so the verification text option should come through to my new number.
This is terrible customer experience. I am waiting for purchases and have no idea what has been cancelled and what hasn't. Can't access my account to reset the password. Just round and round on this frustrating cycle.
Furthermore I have no information on the suspected hack.
This is extremely disappointing and I have no course for action.

Disgusted customer

Ebay is a joke. I ordered a swimming pool 2 months ago. Never received it. Contacted seller several times, no answer. Asked eBay to “step in”. No response. I never got my pool nor a refund. I deleted the app. It’s Amazon for me from now on.

Horrible custorme service policy

eBay's policy is getting worse and worse, I started paying with American Express because it has better customer service than Master, I made some purchases on eBay with American Express and I did not receive the item, I told eBay about it Ebay did not get a refund and I complained to American Express. AMX listened to me, and I gave a refund.
However, Ebay from the 17th of August, is no longer working with American Express, Ebay should have shame.
The best thing is Amazon, I am telling you seriously. Don't buy on eBay, they are scammers.

The absolute worst reseller platform to…

The absolute worst reseller platform to exist. They are charging me "promoted fees" on the same customer over and over again...
They don't disclose this in their policies..

as a reseller using them for 10+ years and selling 250k or more a year, I'm done with them.. they have such incompetent VAs, and they refuse to pass you to higher-ups no matter how bad the situation is..

this is the greediest company ever at this point.

How can eBay stay in business?
I ordered 3 ca parts from one of eBay's seller - named wholesalepartsstore. I only received 2 of the 3 items I paid for. I tried several times to reach the seller unsuccessfully. The notes to the seller I sent had photos showing that the paper inside the box only showed 2 parts. I then contacted eBays phone support people - wow - that was difficult to get through. I was told I was going to hear back in a few days. NOTHING. I sent a note to eBay complaining about the seller. NOTHING. I just sent a note to them again and I do not expect to hear anything. I would say that eBay is complicit with FRAUD. Why does consumer affairs in the US tolerate this?

They will rob you.

Ebay charged double for my plus membership and since last three months I have contacted them more than 10 times. Every time they ensured me that they have escalated my case. But I did not get any response from them and I had to contact them again. Now they told me that the money has been refunded to me. I checked my bank statements but there was no refund from ebay. When I told them they asked me to send them my private bank statement. What a stupid remark from the big organistion. When I told the help desk person that please send me the transaction reference number of ebay refund, he disconnected the call. It looks like that ebay does not care about their customers and it is not answerable to anyone.

Just logged back in since my last…

Just logged back in since my last unfortunate use of the page to find all my messages and history deleted. Customer service non existing, customer service robot is like trying to talk to an excel sheet, stay away if u have the option or make sure to receive your package or have some sort of insurance. It seems like they ship by throwing it all into a black hole and hoping it arrives in your reality. NO support and no humans working here any more :(

All around terrible company ran by terrible people with terrible customer service. A sellers worst nightmare. DO NOT sell on eBay you will get screwed by these terribly predatory and shady business people. Avoid and sell elsewhere. Anywhere else is better

This could be a decent company HOWEVER
ONE MAIN PROBLEM here with ebay is whenever I give a seller a well deserved NEGATIVE EBAY removes it.
They protect them punk a$$ SCAMMERS like wettable222 who sent me a baby santa claus in JULY instead of the fan that I ordered.
YEAH a like $5 item that I never ordered for the $55 fan that I DID order.
And ebay took away the negative that I gave them.
THAT is only ONE of the problem's with ebay.

Ebay sucks balls

The seller sent the wrong item.I contacted the seller. The seller is a drop shipper. Seller never sees product. Just orders it to be sent to a address. I opened a dispute. Ebay decided in seller's favor because they had a tracking number. That's all the seller needs. You buy 1500.00 item. You receive 20 dollar item. You lose because seller has tracking number. EBay can *uck off.

scamed by ebay

Ebay automatically renewed my car add. Charging me again with out asking if I wanted it renewed. Then when i tried to cancel the add a scam tricked me into clicking on a link that charged me more for information. Over 100 dollars in extra fees.

Ebay is a clunky site with poor customer service

I have been living in Australia for 16 years now using my Ebay account fine. Then as of this week, the system says that I can be paid unless I update my details on the UK site where my account was originally set up.
I can log into the UK account because I need a UK address and phone number. The customer service agents were TERRIBLE! The problem is nowhere near being fixed any I cannot get the money that I am owed. They are HOPELESS! DO NOT USE EBAY!!

Ebay stole money from me without my…

Ebay stole money from me without my authorization. I sold an item and shipped it out. Apparently the buyer didn't receive it and made a claim. Ebay should have used their money back guarantee to cover it but apparently their money back guarantee is stealing the money from the sellers bank account without authorization. Ebay was a good site until this happened, now I'm screwed and will never use Ebay for anything ever again.

Be prepared to be disappointed if you buy on ebay

Will not be using ebay again. Frustrating experience. Easy to buy, thats it. I bought two items, from 2 different sellers. Both sellers shipped the items to the ebay hub in Glendale, Illinois within a day. It's been over 14 days and both items are still somewhere at the hub. Neither will make it here to Switzerland by the delivery date. Now I need to report not delivered and lose both the items I really wanted. Shop elsewhere, its not worth it. What a shame. Unreliable. More work than its worth. For clothing try YOOX or the OUTNET. Ebay is just not worth the hassle.
