A single magnetic pulse was given at t = 0 s for 0.5 s. (b) Calcium fluorescence intensity plots corresponding to images in (a). Rapid increase of calcium influx was observed only for the m-Torquer-bound Piezo1-expressing neurons in response to magnetic stimulation, while all control neurons without either m-Torquer, Piezo1 expression, or magnetic field showed no calcium response.
