I would like a little help.
My computer is multi-core, but my graphic card does not have the options that sp614x says one must When using "Chunk Loading: Multi-Core" make sure to Disable "Threaded Optimization" / "OpenGL Threading" in the graphics card control panel
However, this are my graphic card paremeters (or whatever you call it). Can someone tell me what should i set to stop the flashing?
Asynchronous flip : Off/On
Triple buffering: Default/off/on
Flipping policy: Flip/Blit
Depth Buffer Bit Depth: Default16 bit depth buffer/24 bit depth buffer
Force S3TC Texture compression: off/on
force FXT1 texture compression :off/on
driver meomor footprint: high/normal low
Texture colour depth: desktop color depth/16 bits per texel/32 bits per texel
anisotropic filtering: application control/off/on
Thanks.
Where did you found these options? What is your graphics card?

Why does everyone use ultra, and if it contains all the other versions, why haven't they been updated too? I have a bad computer so I usually only used smooth.
so.. where is better skies ?? i'm using a texturepack, and there is this modification inside, but when i put better skies and optifine together in mc, it crash's so what can i do??
Great Mod, doubled my fps and patched all me texture packs as well as allowed me to increase my Minecraft graphics.
Suggestions:
1. Make an option to use smooth and multi-core together
2. If it is possible speed up the changing of animations so it doesn't freeze(for 20 seconds) every time I change animations
Try installing it manually(avoid mcpatcher if you usually use it) and make sure you use an un-modded Minecraft.jar and then install all other mods after optifine
I am combining this mod with 4 others, without conflicts. (InvTweaks, TooManyItems, ReiMinimap, Macro/Keybind) Most of these mods require Risugami's ModLoader to function without conflicts.
ModLoader replaces avf.class, as does Optifine (only potential conflict), although installing Optifine after ModLoader seems to function just fine.
1. Is overwriting this class a big risk? (I have no idea what functionality is provided by this class)
2. Lots of mods seem to be utilizing ModLoader. What are the chances of getting an alternative method of installing Optifine, where it uses ModLoader instead of overwriting classes? (i.e. a mod_Optifine.class which can be installed instead of all the classes that Optifine overwrites in the main jar)
Is it possible for you, as a modder, to "fix" the critical hit particles not always appearing after the arrows shot by fully drawn bows?
In 1.2.5, these particles did not work in Multiplayer but worked fine in Singleplayer. Now they work sometimes in MP and SP, because they're both servers.
Is it possible for you to "fix" this? Since Optifine renders the particles all the way its easier to see where arrows land and you can "snipe" better.
b1 is running great here good job getting memory under control, stable fps and no more stutters. thanks for all your hard work, some screens from me in seus glsl thread if you want to see the result: http://www.minecraft...0#entry17176785

overzealous moderators incapable of thinking for themselves are more of a danger to any forum than anyone trying to abuse it.
PS: Weird. 19-63fps? I have Core 2 Duo 2.4GHz and Radeon HD3650 (AGP, slightly overclocked) and 30-80fps. You have to clean up your OS.
Yep... Very light: 19-41fps (smilliar very light at morning with using mod Sonic Ether) , Normal: 24-61fps, Very dark: 39-63fps (using 100% bright)
because overheat my PC. Already clean PC.
I am going to donate but i don't know where to enter my username Help Plz
EDIT AWESOME!!! MOD
You can enter it in the Purpose field or on the confirmation screen there is a field "Minecraft username for the cape".
If it is correctly entered in the username field the cape will be activated immediately. Otherwise it may take several hours for the activtion.
Im making a Pack and I noticed Optifine did something to the water.
I left water in terrain.png alone. With Optifine installed, this is what water looks like with Default:
But THIS is what it looks like with my pack that uses the same water.
...
Can someone possibly shed some light on this, and how to fix it in my pack?
...
EDIT: Also, lava is odd. In default, it changes shades, but on mine, its always just one color: the brightest possible.
Texture packs usually add their own animated water/lava using "custom_water.png" in order to match the look of the pack.
If you want the default water enable it in "Animations -> Animated Water/Lava -> Dynamic"

Go through the settings: I think some defaults use make MC slower. Also, it may have changed your render distance when installed (?).
/[Current meme]
If you don't turn on the smooth chunkloading, etc. Ultra is the same thing as Standard.

No insight on my FPS issues (even with standard textures) or the flashing textures/chunks?
I'm on a core i7 2.66ghz 8GB, 1gb vram machine.......
I now realized I can't live without this mod
Thanks so much

No doubt! This ALL needs to be part of the base application!
