Lake Marudi was a lake on the forest moon Endor. The body of water consisted of two large open portions connected by a strait on the northern edge of the lake. It was located 3.1 kilometers (2 miles) to the south-east of Bright Tree Village, home to a tribe of Endor's Ewok natives, and to the west of a shield generator bunker constructed by the Galactic Empire.[1] In 4 ABY,[2] an army of Ewoks from the village and a group of their Rebel Alliance allies crossed over Lake Marudi's strait using an Ewok-made rope bridge while trekking toward the bunker in order to rendezvous there with more Alliance forces and attack the Imperials.[1]

Behind the scenes[]

In the current Star Wars canon, Lake Marudi was first mentioned in the 2016 reference book Star Wars: Complete Locations. The map depicting Lake Marudi in the book was a reprint[1] of a map created for the 2004 reference book Inside the Worlds of Star Wars Trilogy by Richard Chasemore and Hans Jenssen. The book was written by James Luceno and marked the lake's first mention in the Star Wars Legends continuity.[3]
