After the Galactic Empire was defeated during the battle, Imperial holdouts remained in the outpost in the hopes of launching a counterattack against the Alliance to Restore the Republic. The Pathfinders, an Rebel Alliance Special Forces team, assaulted and took control of the base, gaining intelligence about the Empire's post-Endor plans.^[1]
