Zack Finfrock is an American freelance artist, as well as actor, writer and director involved in various fan film projects. As of 2024, he is also a contractor working on art for Fallout 76.
He is known in the Fallout fandom chiefly for his fan film series Fallout: Nuka Break, which was also referenced in Fallout: New Vegas.
Fallout 76 copied art incident[]
In July 2024, Finfrock called attention to the fact that a piece of promotional art in the Fallout 76 Atomic Shop for the Flag Waving Bundle had been traced and copied from his own fan artwork.[1]
The game's art director Jonathan Rush reached out and apologized to Finfrock, explaining that a mishap had occurred with an "external vendor" in which an artist erroneously confused Finfrock's piece, which was used for a popular Fallout meme, for official Vault Boy art. The traced art was removed from the Atomic Shop on the same day, and Finfrock was offered a chance to work on the game as a contract artist upon request.[2] Finfrock later announced that he had signed an NDA and begun work on the game as a contractor.[3]
Fan projects[]
Finfrock's 2011 Fallout fan film series Nuka Break inspired the Nuka-Breaker, a weapon added to Fallout: New Vegas with the add-on Gun Runners' Arsenal. The Nuka-Breaker was also subsequently featured briefly in the fifth and sixth episode of the second season of Nuka Break, and will feature in Finfrock's sequel series, Fallout: Breaking.

So @JonRush1977, who do I talk to about this? I get that I don't own the Vault Boy and whatnot, but you could have reached out so I could draw a newer, better version for your Atom Shop image."
