Yucca Mountain is a mentioned-only location in Fallout: New Vegas.
Background[]
Located in the state of Nevada near the border with California, sometime before 2077, a US military facility was constructed within the mountain for unknown purposes. The presence of radioactive materials there ended up leaving the place highly irradiated following the Great War.
Sometime before October 2281, as recorded in his journal, the prospector self-named Mr. RADical visited the mountain once to test out the effectiveness of his newly acquired radiation suit. He believed that even with high levels of radiation, the test was a success as he didn't feel any adverse effects. Despite the proclaimed success, however, he did not end up going very deep into the facility's entrance tunnel as he thought he saw something large moving inside it.[1]

Yucca Mountain is based on the real-world location of the same name. There were plans to create a nuclear waste repository within the mountain that never came to fruition.
