William "Billy" Angler was an employee of Grafton Steel and the brother of Darius Angler.
Background[]
Reliant on the steel mill for income, Billy had to accept the ever-deteriorating working conditions.[1] Eventually, he was killed at work when faulty railings over the furnace broke, causing him to fall into the furnace and be killed on the spot. His death caused a major work stoppage and contributed to the worker problems at the plant. It also had a major deleterious effect on Darius Angler's mental state, causing him to isolate himself in the woods and wage a guerrilla war on Grafton Steel.[2]
