War and Peace (Война и миръ) is a novel by Leo Tolstoy.
Background[]
First serialized 1865–1867, then rewritten and republished as a book in 1869, it follows the 1812 French invasion of Russia and its impact on Russian society. This mixed-genre book survived the Great War and was available in Vault 33, where the MacLean family read it as part of their book club (Hank and Lucy were most interested; Norm was not, preferring to play on his Pip-Boy).[1]
