Bethesda Blog has a new post with details on wasteland survival, with the author of the Official Game Guide specifically going into the game's Survival and Crafting skills and their effects on cooking and creating ammo types. The rest of it reads as a plug to buy the guide, however.
There's also mention of a return of Rose's Deathclaw Omelet from Fallout 2 which can be created, presumably, after the player brings back a Deathclaw egg.
