About Me[]

Scissor Shocks Ulysses' Flag2
  • My name is Mike, I'm a fellow gamer-enthusiast & musician. I've been playing Guitar & Bass for 17+yrs. & writing music just as long. I'm currently the Electronics Dept. Manager at one of my local Walmarts, been here 8 years, started as a Receiving Associate. I recently stopped playing live music, mainly because the music scene was decaying in this city & I don't have time, sad days it's been...
  • I've been a fan of Fallout since I spent my first night with Fallout 1 in '98 trying to complete everything the game offered, I don't think I have ever spent as much time in any other game, Fallout was the cause of my tired-eyes in school, the Wasteland was my home and continues to be.
  • Just recently I've decided to join the wiki-community here and try to fix some of the problems/errors on the site, although it's still one of the best wikis around. I'm active on many different Forums and see people asking questions or posting statements all the time about Fallout this or that, arguing & saying "The wiki says it, so it must be true!" Which it should be, but there are a lot of errors, mostly about whats canon. I've been helping others via forums to understand Fallout better for years now, hopefully I can do the same here, from the source of all things Fallout.

Fallouts I've played/own and spent many a nights on...

  • Fallout 1 (Big Box)
  • Fallout 2
  • Fallout Tactics
  • Fallout Van Buren Tech Demo
  • Fallout 3 (CE)
  • Fallout New Vegas(CE)

Current Projects[]

  • Currently working on a Fallout US Map. Big resolution, Google Earth images, along with State Borders, Commonwealth Borders, all locations of Fallout 1, 2, Tactics, VB(Non-Canon I know, but locations might be used in the future), 3 & New Vegas, even mention-only locations. I'm about 70-75% complete & hopefully I can get it up in the Wiki, as most of the maps already on here contradict some of their descriptions & lack detail.

(Update) Just got back after a long hiatus, I'm still working on it, wouldn't hurt to have more eyes to help. Hopefully, you guys like it.

Can you give us an update on this? I am trying to get interest started in making a collaborative Fallout map. I'd love to know who made the one in the reference link at the bottom of the 'Fallout World' wiki page.

Interests[]

My previous band: http://grooveshark.com/#!/user/Littlemike/18456789/music

Music:

  • I own an Epiphone Thunderbird Bass, not the greatest, but I'm in love with it; I don't think I will replace it for a long time, if ever. I'm using a MESA Boogie 4x10 Powerhouse Bass Cabinet.
  • As far as guitars, I have an Epiphone SG Les Paul Custom, Antique Ivory & Gold Hardware with EMG pickups & a Schecter Hellraiser Special C1, the EMG 81 pickup it comes with blows, need to replace it, but I'm usually on the Epiphone. I have two guitar amps, one for recording and one for making people deaf. I use a cheap Fender Frontman 100 2x12 for recording, beautiful and rich tones no matter the style & my precious Line 6 Spider IV 320w 4x12 cab. along with a Marshall MG100HDFX 100w head, this is is stupid loud!! I've owned many different guitars/basses but no need to talk about how I lost those...
  • Don't ask for my favorite band as I couldn't answer that if you put a gun to my head. I enjoy Punk(early days up to late '90s), Metal, Hard Rock, Classic Rock(going back to Buddy Holly, rockabilly days, even some early tunes from the 40s-50s are great...one good thing about Fallout 3/NV, lol), pretty much any style except Rap, Country, Hip-Hop, Dance, things like that are the worst imo.
  • I'm currently listening to: Green Day, Pantera, Down, All That Remains, Rise Against, Less Than Jake, Trivium, Bullet For My Valentine, Volbeat, Stone Sour, Shinedown amongst others & some local music no one's ever heard of.

Gaming:

  • Again, I couldn't pick a favorite, but I'll name a few I love. RPGs are my go-to game, no matter my mood I dig RPGs. First one I played was, well I started with pencil/paper D&D 3rd Edition back in the early-mid '90s, I miss those days... Today, some of my favorite games ever would be: Planescape: Torment, Baulder's Gate 1 & 2, Icewind Dale 2, TES: Morrowind, Oblivion & Skyrim, Fallout 1, 2, 3, & NV, Fable 1 & 2, Half-Life 1 & 2, The Witcher 2, Diablo 2. ...To name a few.

Movies/TV:

  • Once again, no favorites, as you see I'm not a favorites-type, instead of making a super list of movies, I'll list genres, remember I grew up in the '90s so imagine most are from that era. Horror, Post-Apoc., Zombies, Mob, Comedy. (James Cameron, Quentin Tarantino, Martin Scorsese, Michael Bay, Tim Burton, & Robert Rodriguez' movies...yes, they get their own genres).
  • Lately, well the past couple of years, I started watching TV shows, thanks to Amanda(my girlfriend)....I used to think I hated them and thought they were all lame, mainly because she watched some really dumb ones like Charmed & Buffy. There are actually some really good ones though, like: Prison Break, The Shield, Dexter, Breaking Bad, Sons of Anarchy, Lost(first 2 Seasons), Boardwalk Empire, Hell on Wheels, American Horror Story, How I Met Your Mother, MY Name is Earl, Friends and...I save the absolute BEST for last...The Walking Dead, god I love this show, I've also been following the comics since '05.

Books

  • ...uh....I think I read Who Wrote Holden Caulfield once as a teenager...

Well enough about me for now, I'll add more later...really doubt anyone will even see this for a good while. With all my love...Thank you & take care!--Scissor Shock (talk) 01:10, October 17, 2012 (UTC)
