Greetings to everyone who is listening to me at last![]

So, to start this essay off, which gun would you like to see in Fallout 5?

Service Rifle

A Fan-Favorite weapon that has the classic, retro-futuristic feel and functionality of a 50's weapon, the service rifle.

Or:

SIG Sauer never settle

A tacticool, out of place, way to futuristic to be real in fallout, with absolutely Zeros dust or grime, a gun that fits far more in a tactical shooter like call of duty or Rainbow Six Siege, the SIG MCX spear.

If you answered the Service Rifle, then Congratulations! You're a Gigachad fallout fan. If you answered the Spear, then im sorry, but you're a cringy tactical waifu who doesn't care about the lore, and should stop playing fallout for one second and do something productive, like touching grass. So long story short: Modern Guns that come from the 90s and earlier belong in fallout, while guns from the 2000s consequentially don't. Short story long, there are about 4 reasons:

Reason #1: they look out of place in all fallout games, not just 4 and 76. It's just too silly for everyone to be running around with a brand new Honey Badger with no wear and tear. these Tactical guns absolutely do not have any wear and tear, and they just don't even fit into the general aesthetics of New Vegas and fallout 3. try comparing the Marksman Carbine with the RU556. The marksman carbine doesn't have a picattiny rail, but rather a weaver rail. it looks so tactical, but it also follows the retro futuristic feel of fallout 4, and even feels a little cartoony. The RU556, on the other hand, has no retro-futuristic style, and looks like something straight out of COD.

Reason #2: these guns have not made canon appearances in fallout.
