Fort Constantine launch bunker, the terminal with the SysOps is on the left.
USAF One-Touch Command SysOps was a pre-War system operations program used by the United States Armed Forces to streamline nuclear weapons launch procedures. Capable of being run from a single terminal, it allowed the operator to begin a nuclear launch with a single command at DEFCON 1, as long as an authenticated Emergency Action Message signaled a verified threat and the right launch codes were available.[1]
This automated system was simple and streamlined, though much less secure than the pilot program at Appalachia.[2]
