Things to Come! is a challenge in the Fallout: New Vegas add-on Dead Money.
Challenge requirements[]
The player character must hear five references as to what the future may hold.
Triggers[]
The following is a complete list of triggers for the challenge. Note that there are only four triggers altogether - two during the dialogues with Christine and Father Elijah, and another two in the DLC's endings slides if the "best" endings are achieved for Christine and Dog and God.
- At the end of Last Luxuries, in the Executive Suites where one finds Christine, ask her about "How long have you been hunting him?", and hear the entire topic which ends by asking her "Sympathized? Why?".
- At the end of Heist of the Centuries, on the Vault Security Intercom inside the Sierra Madre vault, ask Elijah about "Where did you get the collars?", and hear the entire topic which ends by asking him "I've never heard of the place you're talking about.".
- During the ending slide for Dog, if Dog and God are merged.
- During the ending slide for Christine, if she lives.

- This challenge is not repeatable.
- This challenge is a foreshadowing of the Old World Blues and Lonesome Road add-ons.
Bugs[]
Due to the fact that the challenge completion threshold is set to five, yet only four triggers are present in the game, this challenge is essentially unattainable without exploiting vanilla bugs, or installing bugfixes that reduce the threshold to four. However, a completion point may be given for every individual line of text rather than per slide. This is likely unintended
When playing through and hearing the triggers nothing will happen, the challenge won't even appear in the Pip-Boy.[verified]- When Christine's slide is playing, all triggers may apparently happen immediately, causing the challenge to complete.[verified]
