structures bug[]

I experienced a bug where the option to create structures wasn't available. I had all the other options, but not structures. I'd had the option previously, and I have no idea what might have precipitated this occurrence. It happened in both Sanctuary and the Starlight Drive-In, both with and without mods. Not sure if this belongs on the workshop page per se, but since I have no idea what caused it, I didn't know where else to put it... Obax42 (talk) 06:26, September 17, 2016 (UTC)

Workshops and fast travel between settlements bug[]

This is very easy to test. Go to any developed settlement, assign jobs or beds in fast succession, then fast travel to another developed settlement and do similar assigning. Then return to the original settlement, wash, rinse, repeat. Eventually the corruption will set in. It is unavoidable. Numerous other settlement bugs can also be attributed to this game engine-script execution issue. Most notably, unable to build some or all objects or all settlers unassigned and milling around. Really, all settlement issues that utilize scripts can be adversely effected. The settlement cannot execute it's scripts, and the settlers cannot execute theirs, as they are all waiting for unexecuted scripts to complete.

A very easy method to test script malfunction in settlements. Select a settlement with a confined area for settlers and several settlers present. Create a garden area or a number of beds on a raised platform. Quickly assign all settlers to the job Food or to the beds on the raised platform then remove the stairs-access to the platform. Now you have each settler with a script pending but cannot be executed because the pathing has been removed. Now fast travel to another settlement and back several times, attempting to do a script function, a job assignment, at each settlement. This eliminates the speed of the computer helping avoid the issue. Eventually this will crash the game and saves made while scripts remain unexecuted are likely to be corrupt. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Oceaxe (talkcontribs) 02:31, July 31, 2017 (UTC).
