F2 Item[]

Ten of these can be found in Vault 8 on the second level. MaseFace 01:57, 14 March 2009 (UTC)

Uh, my bad. There's like nearly a hundred of them there. MaseFace 02:09, 14 March 2009 (UTC)

Integrated Circuits Never Invented?[]

Is such a claim really accurate? From what I understand, integrated circuits were invented, but the discovery of 'Hyper-Vacuum Tubes' obsoleted by and large.

Yep. As transistor was invented shortly before War, ICs couldn't be invented before. 80.245.188.138 12:14, August 10, 2010 (UTC)
Integrated circuits were invented because in Fallout: New Vegas, when you look closely at a Scrap Electronics item, one can see that there are green circuit boards like the ones we have today among the bundle of wires and vacuum tubes.
I realize that this is an old discussion, but given the fact that integrated circuits appear as a New Vegas doodad, should that section be removed from the article? Best Regards, InsaneHacker (talk) 20:28, July 22, 2015 (UTC)
Now that Fallout 4 is out we can be certain that curcuit boards have been invented in the Fallout universe considering the existence of Circuitry and the Military-grade circuit board as items in the game. I have removed the section. Best Regards, InsaneHacker (talk) 22:33, December 25, 2015 (UTC)

Vault 13 water chip (Fallout 2)[]

Ironically, there is one water chip in one of the footlockers on the third floor in Vault 13. Could be that the vault dweller and all inhabitants simply did not notice the spare chip in FO1. --   ryzawy  (talk)   19:02, February 5, 2011 (UTC)

It wasn't there in Fallout 1, so there was no spare in Fo1. It might be the Necropolis chip taken out after the mainframe took over Vault functions. Personal_Sig_Image.gif Tagaziel (call!) 19:30, February 5, 2011 (UTC)
Yeah, I know it wasn't there in FO1. But it *could* be that the inhabtitants just overlooked the chip. Personally, I like to think this is some of the endless jokes the developers put in the game. The first time I found this chip in FO2 I was like "OH SNAP! I really should have searched these lockers in FO1!", if you know what I mean. --   ryzawy  (talk)   19:54, February 5, 2011 (UTC)

Vault 101 water chip(s)[]

The only reason vault 101 did'nt have spare water chips is that the lone wander's father had been continuing his research from project purity, destroying stolen spares in the process.
