-Has anyone been able to get past the glitch of falling through the floor and actually get in that room? If so, how?... and is there anything useful in there?Default159 08:17, October 31, 2010 (UTC)

To anyone else wondering the same... I got into the room, it took a while but I placed a barrel (standing upright) on the edge just before the hole. (about half the barrel was through the floor) From there I got a running start from ontop of the rubble pile, jumped onto the barrel and then immediately jumped through the door. The only worthy loot is a construction hat. Default159 11:34, October 31, 2010 (UTC)
Weird, I haven't encountered this bug at all, I've been able to walk into the room with out issue on 3 different characters. --Webley 14:10, November 21, 2010 (UTC)

DLC?[]

I'm under the impression this seaming meaningless train-tunnel is for future (and likely already planned) DLC content. I recall the same thing in FO3 with the Pittsburgh DLC. 68.40.78.11 05:02, November 2, 2010 (UTC)

  • It's used as an alternative route for sneaking into Nellis unnoticed.
Seems odd that they would place a Very Hard lock on it though. Developer oversight maybe? Sangheili1024 01:48, March 4, 2011 (UTC)
Seems appropriate to me. You bypass a rather noteworthy setpiece with very high skills. --70.50.237.250 15:54, September 7, 2012 (UTC)

Old Train Tunnel[]

From the list I have (unmarked locations) should it be called "Old Train Tunnel"? K2chris1983 15:00, November 5, 2010 (UTC)

Avoid shelling?[]

The article states that the Train Tunnel is an alternate route to enter Nellis AFB that avoids the shelling. This is misleading and not even implied by the Nellis artillery timing details note, which only states at the end:

Transcript

Also, I know there is an old train tunnel that enters the area from the south, but no one has ever come back out of there to say it is safe

Actually, coming out of the western most exit after having survived the tunnel exploration will still trigger the artillery barrage just as one had reached the same exit by simply following the railroad tracks starting from the vicinity of Field's Shack. Exploring the tunnel in order to reach the western most exit is not necessary at all. If approaching from the western Train Tunnel exit has any advantages over the more direct approach, is that one can just keep running after leaving the exit and reach the unguarded back gate at the fence in one go, instead of having to stop a couple of times inside the wrecked buildings while crossing the ruins.
