Just a heads up[]

I screwed up and didn't experiment enough with the guy during my first playthrough. There's quite a bit more interactions, and I'm especially curious if the truth serum option becomes available with a higher medicine skill or with a particular item.Ctmnt08 18:33, October 25, 2010 (UTC)

I just checked this with a Medicine of 100 and an Intelligence of 10, and the truth serum option was not available. 63.96.216.160

Centurion Armor[]

Is it possible to take his armor if you kill him?

Yes, but I don't know if it has an effect on the quest.

Possible fix for the locked in room bug.[]

[Xbox360] When I did the second round of talking with him while the girl was talking to him it forced her to leave the room and stand in front of the glass while having the conversation with him, so i did the 3rd persom camera glith to talk to her on the other side of the glass when she had finished the conversation which completed the quest and unlocked the door.(Note: someone else try this to confirm it works for other 360s, and also possibly for the PC and PS3 versions)

Intelligence Path Does Give XP![]

The "Note" that the intelligence path doesn't reward you with XP is either bug-fixed, or was just incorrect to begin with. It adds 325xp, same as the Speech path. - Kamov

Oh Goddamn It[]

Hello all. I'm playing on the 360, trying to interrogate him... And just got locked in the room with him. Every time I reload the autosave I can't seem to do anything to get the door to unlock. My last manual save was four levels ago and four hours ago and I really don't want to go back. Anyone know anything have any suggestions? Does anyone know if Obsidion is going to patch this?

Oh thank god. Something about the speech path made it work. Whoo! Sorry to take up bytes in your server, but maybe it'll be helpful to someone else. 65.186.83.127 01:27, November 9, 2010 (UTC)

Fucking Boone[]

I was in the interrogation and for some reason boone teleported into the room (I had made him wait in the jail cell across the room) when it was time for the second round of ass whuppin. boone killed him and that quest path is fucked up...is there a way to reset this quest or am I completely screwed out of it? Playing the PC version.

That went far too smoothly.[]

I don't think it was supposed to work like this, but this is what happened to me.

I did this unmarked quest with Boone in my party, and didn't tell him to wait. When I entered the room, Boone followed, but he took no aggressive action against Silus. I talked to Silus and was able to pass all necessary Intelligence and Speech checks to avoid violence, and after a brief discussion, Carrie Boyd came into the room and started talking to Silus as if I had left, and then invited me back into the room for another round (even though Boone and I were still just standing in the room right next to her). After she left the room again, I talked to Silus, and I was once again able to pass all necessary Intelligence and Speech checks to get him to give me all of his information without any violence. When we were finished talking, I simply left the room, and received a 325 EXP and 300 cap reward from Boyd, as she commended me for being an "artist" at interrogation.

I then walked right back into the room, the door was NOT locked, and I shot Silus in the head with a .357 Magnum Revolver, killing him instantly. I spoke to Boone to discover that it had indeed advanced my "Trust" with him. I then had no difficulty leaving the room, receiving all of my weapons upon exit, and incurred no negative penalties from Boyd or any other NCR troopers.

I don't think the game was supposed to roll out the red carpet to maximum reward like that. Did this happen to anyone else? Science-Doer 02:04, November 20, 2010 (UTC)

Voice actor for Silus?[]

This is one of those rare moments in-game where the the voice acting, the lines, and the tension of the moment merge to create a viscerally chilling and stark drama. I want to praise the voice actor, but who is he? This actor is also responsible for the representation of several other in-game characters, none of which rival Silus in sheer inspired artistry.

where does he go?[]

has anyone ever seen where silus goes if he's freed? does he return to the Fort? 99.122.200.231 23:48, June 1, 2011 (UTC)

Caesar mentions that he's exicuted if you do this before you first talk to him --24.128.203.43 22:17, June 6, 2012 (UTC)

Is there any way to free Silus without having him executed? Darth Roxas 17:34, June 22, 2012 (UTC)

Silus[]

Is there a way to sneak guns into that room with Silus? Im trying but I cant figure it out.

Never mind. I figured it out. If you drop a weapon from your pip-boy and quickly open the door before it hits the ground, the gun should end up in the room with you.

Note that you are able to take holdout weapons in which you buy of the man on the strip

If you want to kill him for the achievement "against all tyrants", you can't bring a weapon into the room that qualifies for the achievement. However, if you use the "tcl" noclip cheat and get into the room, drop a weapon, save, exit the game and re-enter, you can pick up that weapon and waste him. `Elethiem

Opening Silas's Door[]

Is There a way to open the door to silas Cell. I told Rex to wait in because he attacked the guy while I was interrogating him. And he got locked inside. What do I do to get him out.

Silus' name[]

I have removed the following: "* The Silus's name is strangely pronounced different by different characters, Lt. Boyd pronounces it see-LOOS, while Caesar pronounces it Cy-LUS. The difference in pronunciation is not clear."

The difference is clear - Latin pronunciation is "See-loos". Is it true that Caesar pronounces it "Cy-lus"? If so it's worthy of mention. Otherwise it's normal that most wastelanders and NCR either don't know Latin or intentionally mispronounce it to show disrespect for the Legion.

We have the names as scripted. You can say Kai-sar and Si-zar, but you write it as Caesar. So you can say on both ways. MysteryStranger: Trust in the power of Infinity! 20:47, December 17, 2011 (UTC)
