Other notes[]

  • Rivet City houses the most incompetent security force in the wasteland (even though there hardly are any). With a good enough Sneak you can kill off the entire force for 75 (83 rested) experience per guard on Very Hard and they will always respawn a few days later, making Rivet City a really fine place to level up if you do not care about bad karma. Note that all NPCs in and outside of Rivet City will revert back to friendly if you stay hidden 10-60 seconds (time may vary greatly sometimes, but this is the most common)
  • If you and a follower get into a fight with 4 or 5, they will sometimes scream, "We're outnumbered!"

New Glitch/Graphical error?[]

I notice on some of the rivet city security gaurds, one of their hands is bigger than the other. It's about as big as a deathclaw gauntlet would be. I don't know if this is part of the actual game, or if it's just a coding error? Maybe a side effect of living in irradiated water?

Pink Reference[]

Has this been cited or referenced? Other than it being a lyric, I don't see how the connection was made. Has it been confirmed or what, or is conjecture openly welcomed to the pages of this wiki now? AzureSN 02:48, January 15, 2010 (UTC)

I've removed the note in question ("If you pass a guard, the guard may say 'I'm not here for your entertainment,' which may be a reference to Pink's song U + Ur Hand"). Unless it was mentioned by a developer in an interview or something, there's no reason to believe that this bit of dialog was a reference to a Pink song, as opposed to the Rivet City guards snidely informing you that they have more important things to do. Article Cleanup[]

This one is a little tricky since it sort of falls under faction and NPC at the same time, but there are a few more changed I'd like to implement. For one, I think the "Unnamed Members" section seems unnecessary -- most of that information could probably be placed under the "Notes" heading. I also think the basic unnamed Rivet City Guards should probably have an inventory box like other NPC, but I'm not entirely sure where one would stick that in. Is this a possible example of an article that might need to split? (Rivet City Security as a faction, Rivet City Guard as an NPC?) Hopefully I can get a little veteran insight on this. Thanks gang! The page actually needs to be split into faction info and NPC info. User:AvatarUser talk:Avatar 23:08, August 13, 2011 (UTC)
