Fallout 1 Reputation vs. Fallout 2 Reputation could get confusing. Things like Childkiller belong in both types of reputation. Mimir 10:00, 12 Feb 2005 (GMT)

I added info on the Reputation system in New Vegas. Read it off of the video of a the demo at PAX seen here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x4Q_JM-ST1s

Increase Reputation While Disguised?[]

If anyone knows whether this works or not, please let me know. After doing a few NCR missions at Camp Forlorn Hope, Caesar's Legion isn't that fond of me anymore. i.e. they attack me on sight. It occured to me that maybe I could turn in dogtags to Aurelius of Phoenix disguised in order to raise my rep back to a positive level. I would really like to be able to go back to The Fort and trade as well as use Caesar's Favor again without restarting the game. Is this possible?

Whenever I have done missions when I'm disguised I don't gain faction rep. Not sure if mine is a glitch, but that's what happens. So if yours is like mine, it probably won't update your faction rep. Not sure if that helps.

No, it's not a glitch. Wearing faction armor resets your reputation with the factions involved (i.e. NCR armor sets NCR and Legion reputation to neutral, along with Powder Ganders, BoS, etc.) and any faction rep gained is added to your new armor reputation, although this only lasts as long as you wear the armor. Upon taking it off, your reputation should revert back to whatever it was previously, and reapplying the armor will reset your reputation again.

Could someone verify whether or not you can't become Idolized prior to having Lonesome Road, because I specifically recall being Idolized long before Honest Hearts was released.

If you mean idolized by the Brotherhood, it can't be done unless you stop the launch ,(Lonesome Road). You can be idolized by the town of Goodsprings before you first leave it.DarthOrc 08:37, November 19, 2011 (UTC)DarthOrc

Cutting down the NV section[]

This section has a lot of clutter and few citations. Seems to be a lot of speculation at the moment. If no one can verify it, it would be best to remove most of it.

Countable or uncountable?[]

These articles should use singular as grammatical number, rather than plural. It's one's "reputation", even if it may be different between factions. I'm willing to make the appropriate changes. -- UserCCCSig -- You talkin' to me? -- cCContributions -- 17:19, 2 December 2020 (UTC)
