quest item?[]

This is a quest item, correct? Unless I'm wrong, shouldn't that be in the article? --DeadlyPrey(talk) 01:57, October 11, 2011 (UTC)

No, I don't think it is. It's just a unique crafting component. Making the deathclaw gauntlet is unmarked and optional, iirc. --FourWayDiablo(talk) 02:11, October 11, 2011 (UTC)
True dat, but I believe if you try to drop it you will get the "quest item" message. --DeadlyPrey(talk) 02:13, October 11, 2011 (UTC)
Interesting. Then either that's a mistake or there's a quest I missed. I don't have G.E.C.K. access, so I can't investigate. --FourWayDiablo(talk) 03:04, October 11, 2011 (UTC)
Me neither. Iirc, I only tried dropping it to see if it was something that could be smuggled into Dead Money, like NCR dog tags, and then made into a weapon while playing that DLC. I guess this Rawr encounter could be considered an unmarked quest, or maybe they just made it undroppable so it wasn't dropped somewhere by the player before you get to a workbench and see you can make it into a weapon. --DeadlyPrey(talk) 03:12, October 11, 2011 (UTC)
You can exploit this with Dead Money - it's not taken away from you, so you can craft the gauntlet once you're in the Sierra Madre area and have a really strong melee weapon. 173.216.109.130 04:19, December 7, 2011 (UTC)
