Found a passable workaround for making the dipshit radio broadcaster go back to his job the following in console without brackets or things in brackets, brackets are just an explanation of what the commands do/affect

prid 9ff48 [radio transmitter]
setpapyrusvar bAllowPlayerAssignment True [must capitalize as specified]

prid b0eee [unnamed minuteman radio guy]
setpapyrusvar bCommandable True [caps again]
setpapyrusvar bAllowPlayerAssignment True
disable

remove console, allow him to disappear (don't know if this is necessary but this is what I did) his prid should still be up so:
activate console:
enable
at this point you should be able to command him like any settler or minuteman in a settlement, and assign him to the transmitter. I was certainly able to
I have not tested to see whether he will continue to not go back into his chair after he gets out, but if so, he can still be commanded to get back in, and tends to hang around only that chair regardless of whether he's in it. Kinda want to put some of that adhesive on his ass and stick him in it permanently

edit: have further tested this, reverting the setpapyrus edits returned the radio guy to his former not using the radio state, this is not only when attacked but also happens if you use a Bell while at the castle. This bug I believe is caused by his ai being unable to assign itself to the radio transmitter. additionally, making the changes to the setpapyrus variables allows him to sit back down after standing up to move to the bell / in event of an attack. odd oversight on bethesda's part. I will see about adding the setpapyrusvar commands to bug patch modders, since doing so would remove the bug altogether. please try for yourself if you want. Have given enough information to create and remove the bug in my posts. --Neuroactive51 (talk) 00:20, December 9, 2015 (UTC)

We should add a list of the Songs broadcasted by the radio --82.61.62.210 08:00, December 17, 2015 (UTC)

Radio Station Bug[]

I have this bug others reported with Diamond City Radio. Radio Freedom stopped at some point in the game playing for me. Any fixes for that? HomerDOHSimpson (talk) 25. Febuary 2016 09:34 (cet)

Someone just pasted it at the frontpage - the glitch can indeed be circumvented by using a grenade HomerDOHSimpson (talk) 13:52, March 8, 2016 (UTC)
Following the changes made, i realized that someone just deleted one of the solutions... "Solution use artillery grenade " HomerDOHSimpson (talk) 10:58, April 26, 2016 (UTC)
