Poison[]

There isnt any poison in fallout 3. I dont remember.68.149.88.5 14:25, August 28, 2010 (UTC)zxer5050

Sure there is. Radscorpion stings are poisonous. But the effect is laughably weak even without resistances. It does a piddly amount of damage over time after getting struck with a tail strike. --Kris mailbox 14:29, August 28, 2010 (UTC)

New Vegas poison[]

Since poisons are more common, and more deadly, in Fallout: New Vegas... I think this needs a re-visit by any of you kind PC users with GECK (I have the console version so I can't check myself). Does Poison Resistance follow the same formula as in Fallout 3? It doesn't display on the Pip Boy. I can't seem to find any other source of poison resistance in the game, so it looks like it will be dependent on Endurance alone. Usernametaken 02:58, December 23, 2010 (UTC)

Oh, also, does it reduce the damage or just the chance of being poisoned? Usernametaken 02:59, December 23, 2010 (UTC)
I agree, this page needs to be cleaned up some. Mictlantecuhtli 19:31, August 2, 2011 (UTC)
The "Poison Resistance" statistic in Fallout: New Vegas and Fallout: 3 both function in the exact same way, there are just more ways to be exposed to it in Fallout: New Vegas. --FNV DeathclawAlpha DeathclawAlpha 02:13, January 25, 2012 (UTC)

capped at 85%?[]

Is poison resistance capped at 85% in fallout NV? Form the various sources I should have 105% resistance. Being attacked by Cazador doesn't seem to poison me at all, if it was limited to 85% I would expect some effects of poisoning to remain.

Thats not how poison resistance works, it determains how much of the damage is reduced aswell as the chance of getting poisoned at all, the chances of you getting poisoned were so low, combined with the chance of an enemy using the poison attack (the attack can only be used once a day by most enemies) all these factors together, meaning once the enemy uses the poison attack there is a 85% chance of getting poisoned, then for 24 ingame hours there is no chance of the enemy poisoning anything. Thats why you cant get poisoned after the initial poison attack that you resisted

Corrected some grammar.[]

Corrected some grammar and rephrased some stuff. If anyone wants to refine my edits, feel free, as English isn't my main language. Sorry, forgot to sign it. Consider this an extension to the above paragraph. Chaos BR (talk) 15:43, December 12, 2012 (UTC)
